County pageHeating FAQs
My heat is out. What should I check first?
Confirm the thermostat is set to heat and calling, check that the furnace or boiler switch and breaker are on, and make sure the filter is not clogged. If it still does not run, call us for same-day service.
Do you work on steam boilers?
Yes. Many older homes across North Jersey still heat with steam or hot-water boilers, and we repair, maintain and replace them, including the near-boiler piping.
Are heat pumps a good option in New Jersey?
Modern cold-climate heat pumps work well here, especially paired with a backup heat source. We evaluate your home and utility costs before recommending one.
How often should a heating system be serviced?
Once a year before the heating season. Annual service checks combustion, venting, safety controls and the heat exchanger, and it keeps efficiency where it should be.
