Everything starts with a camera inspection and a surface locate, because trenchless only works on a line we understand. We confirm the pipe material, the diameter and the slope, and check for collapses, severe offsets or bellies that lining will not correct.
If the line qualifies, we choose the method. Cured-in-place lining pulls a resin-saturated liner through the existing pipe and cures it into a new jointless pipe inside the old one. Pipe bursting pulls a new pipe through while fracturing the old one outward, which also allows an increase in size. Either way, digging is limited to access pits rather than a trench along the whole run.

Clean the host pipe
The existing pipe is cleaned, usually by jetting, so a liner bonds properly or the bursting head runs cleanly through it.
Permit and open access pits
We file with the municipality and open only the small pits needed at each end of the run.
Line or burst the pipe
We install the cured-in-place liner or pull the new pipe through, depending on the method the line calls for.
Camera, inspect and restore
A final camera pass confirms the new pipe, we meet the town inspection, then we close and restore the access points.

How long does a lined pipe last?
Cured-in-place liners are designed as a long-term repair. We will not put a number on it that we cannot back up, but we will go over the specifics of the product we plan to use on your line.
Can every pipe be lined?
No. Collapsed sections, severe offsets and pipes that sag into a low spot generally need excavation, because a liner follows the shape of the pipe it is installed inside.
Do you still have to dig at all?
Yes, but far less. Trenchless work uses access pits at the ends of the run instead of a continuous trench along its length.
