Heights Plumbing, Heating & Cooling uses high-pressure water jetting to clear grease, sludge, mineral scale and roots out of drain and sewer lines across North Jersey. It is the tool we reach for when cabling a line stops buying you more than a few months.
We are family owned and operated, licensed and insured, with 56 years of industry experience behind the work. We look inside the pipe before we jet it, because putting that kind of pressure into a line we have not seen is not something we are willing to do.
When Snaking the Same Drain Every Few Months Stops Making Sense
A cable cuts a channel through a blockage. That gets water moving again, and for plenty of clogs it is exactly the right fix. But when the pipe wall itself is coated in hardened grease or mineral scale, that channel closes back up and you are calling again before long.
Commercial kitchens see it fastest. Older homes see it too, especially where a cast-iron stack has been building scale for decades or a root mass keeps reforming at the same clay joint. The pattern is always the same: the clog returns on a schedule.
What Our Hydro Jetting Service Includes
We start with a camera so we know the pipe material, the diameter and the condition of the line before any water goes in. Jetting is powerful, and a pipe that is cracked, crushed or badly deteriorated needs repair rather than pressure.
If the line is sound, we set up at a cleanout and run a jetting hose with a nozzle matched to the job. Forward jets break up the obstruction while rear-facing jets pull the hose along and scour the pipe wall, flushing debris downstream. We finish with a second camera pass so you can see the difference for yourself.
Signs Hydro Jetting Is the Right Call
- The same drain clogs every few months
- Cabling opens the line but only briefly
- Grease-heavy kitchen or restaurant waste line
- Camera shows heavy buildup on the pipe wall
- Roots keep returning at one pipe joint
- Several fixtures draining slowly at once
- Sewer odor that comes back after each cleaning
- A main line that has never been cleaned

Our Hydro Jetting Process
Camera the line first
We inspect before we jet. Pipe material and condition tell us whether jetting is safe here and what pressure the line can take.
Set up at the cleanout
We access through a proper cleanout and protect the surrounding area so wastewater and debris stay where they belong.
Match the nozzle to the problem
Grease, hard scale and roots each call for a different nozzle. We choose based on what the camera showed us.
Scour the full run
We work the hose through the length of the line so the pipe wall comes back toward full diameter, not just an opening down the middle.
Verify with a second pass
A follow-up camera run confirms the line is clear and reveals any damage that was hidden underneath the buildup.

Hydro Jetting FAQs
Is hydro jetting safe for old pipes?
Only after we look. That is why we camera the line first. Sound cast iron and clay generally handle jetting at the right pressure, but a cracked or collapsed pipe needs repair instead.
How is jetting different from snaking?
A cable cuts through the clog. Jetting washes the pipe wall itself, removing the grease and scale that caused the clog in the first place, so it takes much longer to come back.
Will jetting get rid of roots for good?
It clears them thoroughly, but roots return to the same joint as long as the opening is still there. A camera inspection tells you whether the pipe needs repair or lining.
Do I need a cleanout for jetting?
An accessible cleanout makes the job far easier and cleaner. If your property does not have one, we can talk about installing a cleanout while we are there.
Do you jet commercial lines?
Yes. We work with restaurants, offices and other businesses across North Jersey, including grease-heavy kitchen waste lines.
